Queen's Park

Queen's Park is a gorgeous city park in Bridgetown Barbados.  It features manicured lawns, flowering trees and pedestrian pathways.

The park's claim-to-fame, however, is a giant baobab tree which was imported from West Africa in about 1738.  The tree has a 60 foot girth.

Queen's Park is home to two other attractions:

• Queen Park House (1739 building that is now used as a theatre and restaurant)

The park is somewhat difficult to find, so don't feel shy to ask directions from a friendly island resident.
